Profile

The most elegant culinary creations are enhanced here by a majestic atmosphere and architecture reminiscent of medieval England. This famous restaurant offers an award-winning, world-class wine list and such delights as roasted quail, escargot, chateaubriand, filet mignon and more. Rounding out this dining experience are delicious desserts and impeccable service. Summer dining on the lovely patio overlooking Lake Sargent is a treat not to be missed.

Terrible food. Too much salt, the steak was over cooked and tough. Small portions, poor environment (fireplace not lit, cold, musty odor) Overpriced.

Our family LOVES The Castle! We’ve never, ever been disappointed by any of our meals here. We discovered this restaurant about 8 years ago and have been coming back ever since for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It’s a quite a trip for us since we drive about 40 minutes or so to come here. I cannot disagree with the above reviewer more; perhaps he was in a bad mood when he was there (I cannot think of any other reason, unless he’s a chronic complainer).

I highly recommend the dishes that are cooked tableside: Steak Diane, Steak Au Poivre or the scrumptious, Chateaubriand (for two). But everything offered on the menu is quite delicious.

The main dining room (the Camelot Room) looks like a medieval banquet hall and is quite lovely. The prices are higher in this room than in the cozier Crusader Room which is next to the bar area. The menu options in the Crusader room are quite tasty as well. I particularly enjoy the grilled salmon and my daughter loves the all-the-fixings turkey dinner.

The highlight of the night for many is the amazing desserts that come to the table via the dessert trolley. Something for everyone. The chocolate mousse is the die for!

I highly recommend The Castle. 5 stars (at least)!
