Profile

A 50s style diner/restaurant with a winning combination of great food and fun atmosphere ~ complete with poodle skirted waitresses, jukeboxes, 50s memorabilia, shiny steel surfaces, and real soda fountains ~ The 5 transports you back to those Happy Days. The huge menu (sprinkled with little bits of 50s trivia to tease your brain!) includes all your favorite traditional diner food ~ breakfasts piled high with pancakes, bacon, eggs, and everything else to get your day started right, “Bigger Better Burgers,” sandwiches and clubs filled with everything from BLT to pastrami, dinner entrees that will remind you of Mom’s home cookin’, plus appetizers, soups and salads. You can’t help but get caught up in the nostalgia ~ perfect for families or first dates alike ~ while enjoying some of the yummiest food around.

  1. Reggie Cleveland Says:

THE WORST lunch I’ve had in 32 years. Can’t remember ever being treated so poorly. Enough said.

  2. TQM Says:

Visiting for the first time last weekend (April 2008) and was very disappointed. We waiting 10 minutes for a table–so far, so good–but after ordering we waiting 40 minutes to be served simple eggs and toast breakfasts. We had our two-year-old with us, and the waiter didn’t even bother to ask if he could bring him something to hold him over. The waiter seemed really dazed and confused and kept asking us if we wanted coffee then never coming back with it. I heard two other tables of people complain that they had also been waiting more than a half-hour after ordering for their food and we were all told the same thing, “The kitchen is very busy.” This was mid-day on a Sunday–they should have expected it to be busy. I’d hesitate to go back.

  3. Foodie Says:

Not the best food ever, but certainly not the worst. My mother-in-law really likes it here, and we’ve never had problems with the service. We’ll go back, it’s just not our all-out favorite.

  4. Roger Says:

Just came back from our first visit.Expected a lot more than we got.Got seated at the counter within minutes.Took 10 to take our order(no complaints). We both ordered burgers.Took at least 20 minutes to receive.Asked for medium well. They came raw.We will not be going back.Very diosappointed.
