All fried foods - if you like to pack on the pounds….hard to eat healthy here….artery clogging!

If you like, poor service, waitresses spilling beverages, over cooked food (fish was chewy), meals served incomplete (chef forgot the main ingredient)and all this topped off with HIGH prices, then this is the restaurant for you. I give this restaurant 6 months.
Save your money. Find another restaurant where you get good service, good food and at a fair prices.

I love a challenge. After seeing the two reviews for Blue Marlin on this site, I decided to take a client there for lunch. Blue Marlin is like going to a Caribbean theme park – and worth the price of admission. I’m tired of seeing snow and feeling cold for the last three months. Unlike the previous reviewers, I noticed that their menu had fried seafood plus a nice variety of baked, broiled and boiled seafood and lobster. We had the lobster and clam rolls, which were uniquely presented. My client loved the ambiance and it was perfect for our meeting.
And finally, if anything had been wrong, I’d be sure to speak to the manager or owner so that he can correct the issue. It’s obvious these people have put a lot of blood, seat and tears into the restaurant. Why not help ‘em out? (This seems to be a local phenomenon, but I notice that people around here have a bad experience and then don’t say anything to management. How will they improve without constructive feedback?)

I ate there a little while ago. Way over priced. I had the chowder that was almost $5.00 and it didn’t taster homemade. Almost like a can chowdered that was spiced up. Then I had the Beer battered fish and chips. Looked like 2 pices of Gortons fish on a bed of fries. Price was $16.99. The bill with a soft drink came to $25.00 and I left a $5.00 tip. That was just for lunch. Wasn’t impressed at all.

My experience was quite the opposite. The service was attentive, the drinks were FANTASTIC, fish was fresh and cooked to perfection! And for the prices, I have never been to a cheap seafood restaurant if anyone knows of one please let me know.

After working a few opening kinks out, the Blue Marlin is now on top of their game. A new menu with a huge variety of selections including steaks, pastas, sea bass, snapper, swordfish, salmon, along with tried and true faves like baked haddock, baked scallops, lobsters, and a few fried options are nicely presented. Drinks are tropical and fruity, service is great, and management always trys to take suggestions and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. If you tried them when they first opened in December of 2007 and weren’t impressed, give them another try. We did and can’t wait to go back!
