Overall average, here’s why. We really tested the system by asking for a reservation an hour before on a
Friday night. We arrived on time but waited and hour to be seated. The only issue was that family/friends
whom showed up a half hour after us were seated first. Since it was BYOB, so we sat in the traffic filled
waiting area sipping our drinks. At 7:30 on Friday the place was packed. A half hour earlier or later would’ve
been ideal. The open kitchen is entertaining during the wait and a comfort because there are no kitchen
secrets. Once seated we ordered the Boston Wedge salad to split and our entrees immediately. The dressing was
homemade and delicious but salad was a half head of iceberg lettuce. We wouldn’t order it again. The chicken
parm was great and we were happy to take the remainder home. The sauce deserves a positive note too. The Marinated Steak Tips and pasta was less than desirable. The order was for steak, cooked medium but the product was closer to well done and char seared on the outside. The staff seemed concerned when I mentioned the cooking mistake, which was appreciated. The open eating area is not suited for a quiet, private dinner, but provided an old world Italian feel. All in all, we believe the food quality is good even with steak issue. We may try Roma again, but not anytime soon and I won’t order the steak.

Macaroni was way overcooked, but red sauce was good (although my spaghetti and meatballs came with only one meatball). Didn’t care too much for the dipping oil to begin with (roasted red peppers which tasted like sour vinegar). Prices are a little steep ($14-16 for pasta dishes) and pizzas (cheese) starting at $11 with a $1.50 for each topping. Wait staff was nice and accomodating. Its great if you want to try something new. I think their still trying to find their rhythm since their still fairly new. Our waitress didn’t know how to split the bill, forgot our bread, and we waited awhile for our food. Atmosphere was loud and cramped..parking is an issue. If you like trying new things and places i’d say go for it and give it a try. I’d score it 5/10
