At Bar Artisanal, considered by Chef Terrance Brennan to be a “Barstro,” a cross between a bistro and a bar, award-winning mixologist and sommelier Jason Ferris has created some unique cocktails that pair harmoniously with and elevate the flavor of certain cheeses; in essence, they are deconstructed accompaniments to the cheese, and quite deliciously unusual in their own right. Take, for example, a fabulous Martini La Diabla; it is liquefied basil/tomato salad that compliments mozzarella. There’s also a blackberry/thyme/gin/champagne concoction that was created with goat cheese in mind. These two cocktails are just the tip of the iceberg of a very clever and very tasty list of pairings featured at Bar Artisanal.
For guests who prefer more traditional pairings, there are several wine and cheese flights assembled in addition to a large selection of wines served by the bottle, glass, carafe or flight.
