I visited Ladd’s last night with the family and it was a great little place to eat. The restaurant itself was country quaint but not really small at all. My guess is that it looked very much like most restaurants did 100 years ago. We arrived at about 5:00 PM and were seated immediately. My kids (2 and 4) were given some full sized coloring books and a box full of crayons. Service began immediately and we ordered our dinners almost as fast (you do that with small children). My wife ordered a Delmonico steak and I ordered Duck. We constructed kids meals out of components of several (you also do that a lot with small children) and the wait staff could not have been more patient or helpful. Food came fast and there was lots of it. Wonderful warm fresh rolls, salads that came with our meals and then our entrees. My wife reported her steak as perfect. Cooked medium as requested, about 16 oz and very tasty. My Duck was crazy good. I have never seen duck cooked minus the bones (ribs and whatnot) but they did just that. It was moist and crispy and everything a duck should be. We followed it all up with dessert and they were as good as the rest.

My final word on the meal would be one of the best for the money I have seen in a long time. I would rate the food as 4 solid stars and the prices as moderate. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area to stop in and see what I mean…
