Take the bull by the horns and just brew it!

Saturday, November 6, 2010 is the American Homebrewers Association’s (AHA) 12th Annual Learn to Homebrew Day.  Dr. Gonzo’s Uncommon Condiments along with local homebrewers are  participating in this year’s celebration.

Learn to Homebrew Day is an international event celebrated each year on the first Saturday in November with the goal of introducing people to the homebrewing hobby and establishing relationships with local artisans and homebrew supply shops. The homebrewers and Dr. Gonzo are happy to invite anyone who is interested learning how to homebrew to stop by the Mashpit behind the store at 122 Main St. in Worcester, MA from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Homebrewing is a hobby that is increasing in popularity and something that almost anyone 21 years and older can enjoy. Homebrewing is a rewarding but easy hobby. Anyone who has a kitchen can do it. The equipment and ingredients needed are less expensive than most people think.

Experienced homebrewers will be in the Mashpit to talk and guide you through the process of brewing extract and all-grain beer whether you want learn by viewing or you want to dive in head first and learn by doing.

There will be opportunities during the day to sample different styles of homebrewed beer and later in the day victuals will be grilled by a winner of Dr. Gonzo’s Grill Cook-Off Challenge and served with some of the good Dr’s Uncommon Condiments.  Participants must be 21 years or older.  For more information click on the Events tab at www.facebook.com/DrGonzosUncommonCondiments.

In 2009, over 2,000 participants brewed approximately 2,900 gallons on Learn to Homebrew Day at 128 sites worldwide, including sites in Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, and 34 states and Washington, D.C. in the United States.
